Request for proposals: Public Relations and Marketing Services

The Michaëlle Jean Foundation (FMJF) is seeking a firm to undertake the promotion and outreach of the upcoming National Black Canadians Summit taking place in Montreal, in September 2024. It is a 13-month contract. The requirements of this consultancy are described in the section of the Statement of Work (“SOW”).

FMJF supports diversity and encourages proponents to self-identify as a provider/individuals with racialized identities where applicable.

The purpose of the Request for proposal

Our main goal is to increase awareness and engagement where the selected provider will develop a comprehensive outreach and marketing strategy for the Summit and encourage participation from diverse communities and stakeholders.

Request for Proposal Target Dates

The following schedule summarizes significant target events for the RFP process. The dates may be changed by FMJF at its sole discretion and shall not become conditions of any contract that may be entered into by FMJF and the selected provider.

  • RFP issue date: August 9, 2023
  • Deadline for inquiries: August 21, 2023, 5 PM EST
  • RFP close date: August 28, 2023, 5 PM EST
  • Meetings with shortlisted providers: September 5 to 8 2023, 5 PM EST
  • Successful Provider is notified: September 15, 2023, 5 PM EST
  • Project startup: October 2, 2023

The providers should submit their proposal by email, in an accessible format to Tara Lapointe, Executive Director by email at applications@fmjf.ca. The subject line should be: ‘’RFP – Public Relations and Marketing Services for NBCS 2024”.

The selection process will be impartial and based on the provider’s alignment with the Foundation’s mandate, the Summit’s objectives, creativity, and capacity to deliver impactful marketing solutions.
