Watch now: Breaking Barriers in Education

On June 22nd, La Fondation Michaëlle Jean Foundation held the our second virtual event in the The National Black Canadians Summit Series, titled Breaking Barriers in Education. We thank all of the participants of this event and the thoughtful discussions and questions that were brought forth during our time together.

The conversation focused on solutions to actively dismantle systems and structures that exclude and disadvantage Black learners, while also identifying new pathways, supports and programs that aim to remove these barriers. Our three panels, focused respectively on primary, secondary and post secondary education sectors shared their stories and brought forward interesting perspectives and invaluable data.

Thank you for allowing space for this important conversation, we look forward to the other events in our 2021 National Black Canadians Summit Series.
